Hall sensor

Featured Replies

My 98 Feli 1.3lxi occasionally stalls when cold and won't start again for a minute or two, (embarrassing at traffic lights :() should i check the hall sensor as mentioned in other threads?

I appear to have one on the top of the gearbox, do i just unclip the electric plug, then undo the bolt that holds the sensor on the bell housing to clean it?

What is the method for cleaning it, does it just need a wipe over?

EDIT: Checked posts way way back, seems the underside of the sensor can get covered in clutch crud and just needs wiping off :)

This i believe can be quite a common sensor to fail... it failed on mine some time ago... theres nothing really to clean as its a sealed unit anyway... the only way you would know if it was broken was if it has been damaged.
