Hello all,

We've recently put a deposit on a 54 Fabia. Its a 1.9 tdi, Ambiente in Highland Green. Can't wait to trade in the little Punto and pick up the new (to us) car. It looks like there's a lot to catch up on here, I'll be trawling through the old posts for tips and tricks. As it's coming from a dealer fully serviced, first thing is probably to insulate the car from road/engine noise a little better. Unless I find on here that there's something else that should get a look first.

Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place

Welcome, I've found the advice here to be great. Hope you enjoy it.

Hiya.

I've never found an Ambiante noisy; certainly the ones I've been in were quieter than my ex's Punto!

My Elegance is noisier at some speeds than I'd like, but that's mostly tyre roar from the 205s.

Welcome :)

Oh, I know it'll be quieter than the punto it's replacing. And I usually ride a motorcycle, so I know noisy! We're planning on keeping this for a while and it's just something I want to do to make the occasional long journeys we make more pleasant.
