i have just bought a 1999 felicia 1.9 diesel which is great apart from being difficult to start when warm. from cold she usually fires up first time but when warm i often have to crank it over 4 or 5 times for quite a long time before she fires.

Any ideas appreciated.

This is usually the temperature sender switch. try getting one from a 1.3 petrol model and it usually stops the problem. there are a few threads on here about it.

thanks for the reply, i followed the old threads and opted for the 'cutting the red wire' fix in the end due to lack of time. it has proved 100% succesful.
