High Mileage Vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all, have seen a 54 reg Vrs in Black for sale at the moment with 85k on the clock, its got all the extras, inc. xenons, sat nav, heated seats, cruise etc, major service and the cambelt has just been done - but what would a realistic price be for this car do you reckon? its up for £6995.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!!

Is it a dealer sale? Glass's PX prices as follows:

Skoda Fabia vRS

1.9TD Diesel 5-door Hatchback

6 Speed Manual Front Wheel Drive

Year: 2004 54

Mileage: 85,000

Estimated value of your car

Part-exchange Price:

Excellent condition:

£4960

Average condition:

£4500

Below average condition:

£3960

So the high miles in a (relatively) short space of time have clearly hurt its residuals. So allowing a rough dealer markup, I'd say around 6k roughly.

While the extras it has are nice to have, they don't really affect the value and serve only to make the car more appealing to a potential buyer, should they see the options available as attractive to them.

Yes it is a trade sale, but not from a skoda garage.

Did those prices include the extras that it has? Ive just had a wee look at the Glass's site, and its asking for all the extras that the car has - as it will affect the price?

Ebay eh

I saw it on Auto Trader, but yer looking on Ebay its on there too. Been advertised for a while! He might be getting desperate to sell it now, might have to make a low offer for it!

No, I can't get access to the full Glass's system, but it's a good start! As I've said, the extras really won't add that much extra, if anything, to the price.

Also bare in mind that the values listed above are P/X prices, hence the need to try and calculate what the dealer margin is.

So if you're genuinely interested, I suppose it might be worth the £3 or whatever to get a retail Glass's price from their website.

We paid £6400 for an 04 with 45k on the clock dosent have the extras but even still it has done nearly half the millage.

I'd offer him 5.5k for it.

Thats ideally what I would like to spend - £6500 with 45-50k miles on the clock, just going to have to play the waiting game and eventually one might come up!!

For that with miles i wouldnt go above £5,600
