Creaking seat , warranty??

Featured Replies

I took my Fabia in for Duttons to replace a rear seat cover as the seam had come undone. This they did with no problems. At the time I also mentioned the drivers seat has a anoying creak to it as your body moves during acceleration or breaking. They muttered they would look at it but it came back the same as it went in.

Is this something that the guarantee covers or yet another oh thats not covered sir item.

Its the sort of thing that puts you off a car as its always creaking as you drive.

tell them to fix it,a car should not creak:mad:

Mine has just started doing this as well.

join the club, when mine went in for a service was told it was the leather rubbing together,

Makes you laugh

My seat creaks from time to time

If you raise the seat then lower it,then set it to your usual driving height

It seems to stop the creak for a few weeks:eek:

Well it works for me:D

My seat was doing his last year and it was driving me mad, however Norman Fairweathers in Dindee replaced the seat base under warranty and the creaking was no more, was like a breath of fresh air.

My brothers vRS had the same creaking seat problem and they replaced the seat rails under warranty. The dealer then replaced my seat rails on my Fabia without me even mentioning them. I would think they should fix the problem.

tbf you do get a fair bit of noise from the leather creaking anyway so that's a fair enough assumption.
