Painted splitter

Featured Replies

Has anyone painted their leon front splitter to match the color of the car (non-black car:D)?

afraid not mate, are you looking to get this done, I'm sure one of the guys would photoshop it for you.

devonutopia was talking about doing this on his silver vrs bumper, dont know if he has gone through with it but worth a pm

you could be the pioneer, even if you don't like it they are cheap enough to get another:thumbup:

dare to be different

Very true, don't think it would work with yellow through, I'm not convinced a yellow grill would work.

i think it may well work, but then again, some call the front of mine for being too blue.

Because it is?

Like mine is too black...

Each to there own....and all that...

Id say not to paint the splitter...but then i havent seen one that has....

I'm leaving it black - by "leaving" it this might imply a couple of coats of primer, couple of coats of black magic and a couple of coats of lacquer. ;) Yet to really decide to be honest. Definitely not colour coding though.

It would be interesting to see these cars photoshoped (color coded splitter):

I hope the owners of these cars don't mind I used their pictures...

If someone has the time and the knowledge, please photoshop them:thumbup:

If you colour coded it though could you not get stress cracks in the paint when you inevitably ground it on something??

Cheers

This is Barrie's car! :P (johnny5ive) :D But this is more or less how mine will look, only my sunk foglight bits will be silver too. :)

Cant help with the splitter question but the Furbys above look awesome

Interesting, didn't know Scottfree and mk1-16vg60 owned my car.

Hope that messing up with the owners of the cars didn't put you off from photoshoping them:P

Hi Guys,

Just spotted this thread so had a go at colour coding the splitter on the red VRS as thats what I have and the splitter is the next mod on my list to do, interesting to see it in red rather than black, can't decide which looks better ? ?, think I'm leaning towards the natural black.

Hmmm, looks alright that. Don't think it would work on yellow and silver cars though. I would be tempted to stick to black though.
