Cant help with Seat , but I've bought a Fabia from Thomson and Potter ( Burrelton ) 50 miles south and recently an ex-demo Roomster from Victoria Garage ( Maud) 30 miles north and well pleased with the sales and aftercare from both . I too am allergic to John Clark and his ( not ) merry men !

I don't think you get this sort of thing in the UK - its rife on the continent. The possible problem here is that different companies have the franchise to import different marques to UK. Its only in the past 20 or so years that VW was the company that imported VWs into UK - prior to that it was one of "Tiny Roland's" companies. Don't assume that it is Skoda or Seat that bring these cars into UK - they only design and build them.

Interestingly, my local Specialist cars outlet (VW Van Centre Edinburgh) are very helpful for sourcing parts (if it is at all possible for them to order them from VAG), and they seem to be the only dealer to support local VAG car shows = cheap oil and filters (yum yum).

There's two near to me.

White dove Cardiff - Seat, Skoda and Mitsibishi

And Bay Horse Motors Hereford - Skoda and SEAT.

Ah well "wrong again" - normally I'd expect Skoda and Seat, from the same garage group, to be separated by at least one town. The Mitsibishi bit is inconsequential as the Skoda people locally also sell Honda! Whereas the next Honda outlet also sells Mazda!!

The reason that I felt that there would not be a garage group in the same locallity selling both is that there could be felt to be slight cross over in "target markets" so why compete with yourself?
