Would anyone on here know if my Octavia vRS shock absorbers (recently removed due to an upgrade) would fit a mkiv Golf, I'm thinking they would but really not sure? I have a friend who might be interested in them for his Golf but obviously needs to know in advance if they will go on.

Not sure - possibly as the suspension is the same but one thing to bear in mind is that the Octy is heavier at the rear so the damping is likely to be different.
