Hello again !!

Sorry but im here to bug you again ....

Clutterbuck has had a Oil & Filter Change and Tappet adjustment (rattle is not taps but defo Drive Chain) ... still clattering :o

Chap @ Garage (local) was great and will do any work i need and if i can get parts cheaper .. all the better, labour is only £30 p/hr with him !

In lieu of the Haynes (thankyou in advance) .. does anyone know the "Spec" or item code for a 1996 Felicia Lxi Estate .... Starter motor and Spark plugs ?

I have heard that Skoda motors need the whole unit replacing. Jorily has a starter for approx £60 ... would i need anything else or is this the complete unit ?.

Re :- Spark plugs .. even i can change those, just need to get the right ones !

Thanks as ever ...

T.

Jorily does some nice spark plugs, Brisk branded multi-electrode. At least he did when I was after some. If yours is the 135 engine the correct spark plug number is FR8DC for Bosch one's, or FR7DC for the 136 engine. If replacing yourself make sure to put a little copper grease on the threads and be careful not to misthread them, put them in by hand carefully until you're certain they've threaded in correctly.

Starter motor part nuimber for 06.95 onwards (1kw) is 6U0 911 023 B. Price I have is £155 but I would consider this a very rough guide, still worth giving a dealer's a buzz to see if they'll be near enough the same price as Jorily.

Individual parts are available, but I suspect for anything other than the solenoid it wouldn't be worthwhile buying individual parts.

I'm not sure if you need an O ring for the starter motor or not.
