Met a fabia VRS today was it you? (24/01/2008) 5 door silver fabia VRS on the A161 between crowle and Goole?

If so I'm very sorry I spoilt your fun :thumbdwn: I was the fool behind you in the marked police proton, it looked like you were dying to give your car a bit of stick on that fantastic stretch of road but you were very aware of my presence.

Shame really as I was urging you on to be honest :P. Even at (relitively) slow speeds (ie slow to a VRS but quite rapid really when you're 4 up in a marked police *cough* proton *cough*

I was imprssed by the skoda's obvious ability, The fabia looked to be quick even when the driver was infront of a marked police car and (desparately) trying to be a good boy! Looked very planted through the bends too.

I hope you got chance to have a good play because the bits of driving I saw from behind the wheel of my jam jar you seem to have good roadcraft and from the glipses I saw of you, you're probably capable of giving the VRS a good run.

oh and good choice of road too, I often take my 306 GTi out there for a play

HAHAH, my neck of the woods!

Dont know of many silver ones out that way to be honest, but keep and eye out for a black one round the burton area...just dont follow too much...!

I dont think they will in a proton  Just a question, why do east yorkshire have proton patrol cars?? surely they wont catch much in one :P

Its a weird thing... cheap and nasty i think!

Its North Lincs Police too, as were not in East Yorks!...( Annoys the hell outta me that!)

Yeah east yorksire have protons dont they youngsyd?? ;)

East Yorksire, where the f**k is that then?

You dont get what i mean so what you tried to do didnt work....

A lot of people say Scunthorpe is in Yorkshire, but it isnt...thats all...:P

I dont know England and yeah i was trying to wind you up.

Backfired of what.

But i like a cop (thread starter) who knows what a car is for and isnt a stiff. TOP marks officer. My reg plate is YN## L## incase you think about pulling me over ;)

Hehe...there not too bad round here...

Thank god!

sounds like you wish you had an Octy vRS instead of a proton that day ;)

Or a volvo T5-r

There is an unmarked silver Ocy A5 VRs round here, not a local reg either....2.0 FSI, had the nod a time or two, at his appriciation (I assume...!)

Or a volvo T5-r

I used to work nights in a garage, and our local traffic cops used to come in for food, they'd just got a new imprezza turbo on the fleet, and they said they prefered the volvos on the m/way (but the scooby's while chasing twoca's) because they were way faster than the scooby's at top whack!

Well believe that too!

There is a Police gang that nick/chase car thieves etc in Scunthorpe.

Two unmarked Imprezas, no rear spoilers, so you can see ther LED's in the back window and a Beemer (330D) with a built in dog kennel where the back seats should be!

seen them boys all out together in goole a few years back!

In west yorkshire, they have loads of volvos V70's s40's and a few V50 Estates.

They also have a fully marked EVO9  Would like to see a twocer out run that

All of the East Yorkshire cars are fiddled with anyway - I used to know the mechanic who did it.

I used to work for the poilce as a Handyman/ Driver - Mostly drove crap vans but every now and then i'd get something good to drive...like the old 3.0 V6 Omega that was for motorway chases, that was sh!t for driving round town in but on the M62 it was brilliant

Got me to Leeds in under 1 hr LOL!

Got to do the advanced driver training day - that was FUN (so much fun I had to put it in caps)

Back to the point - it is a good road that ;)

I'm part of Humberside police so technically I police an area that doesn't even exist ... work that one out? youngsyd I'm based in scunny but I'm moving out to Barton in a couple of weeks ... I did work there but I got moved for being a bad lad, I've now persuaded my supervision to let me go back I'll keep a look out for you  lol.

The scoobs all have the high level spoilers and they're not used for twocers they're used for "intelligence led" policing which means that they target the higer end crims. They're used for combating drug dealers/runners but those high up the criminal food chain although if they happen to drop on a twoccer then they don't mind having a play lol. The cars are group N spec imprezzas running gravel suspension and the marked ones are the only official white versions in that shape in the country. But the BMWs are supposed to be faster ... and they have a big snarling dog in them ;)

Oh and I always wish I had an occy VRS ... I want to change my peugeot 306 GTi for one but after checking my finances can't  maybe next year

Nice one darren!

Dont keep too much of an eye out for me though!

The scooby i was thinking about with no spoiler is the ones in Lincoln as thats where i work, and we sell bits to the cop workshop.

A lad i went to school with works at Barton i think...John Roberts, has a Clio..
