130PD Turbo on a 100PD

Featured Replies

is this a straight swap? i have the chance of turbo and manifold.

Hi,

I think the answer is exhaust manifold side - yes

Connection to exhaust side - depends on turbo- might need a u bend to rotate through 90 degrees

Hope this helps

Cheers

Why bother, you will still have to get it mapped for the the bigger turbo.

Plus its not that much bigger. Would be alot better off getting a hybrid turbo. or even better do what jason did and transplant the lot from a pd130

I agree there is going to be more to it than just fitting the turbo, which wont be much bigger than the PD100 original item anyway. You will need to have it all re-mapped etc to make best use of it otherwise you could hit running problems. If you can get some quotes on re-mapping the engine after fitment to see if it is going to be worth while doing in the first place. Hop this helps.

I recently swapped a 105 TDi for a 130PD turbo which is almost a straight swap except for the outlet pipework which required a special adaptor sourced from Jabba.
