Rattles

Featured Replies

I have a couple of noises where there shouldn't be noises!

A 'squeeky rattle' from the rear seat area and an intermitant 'buzzing' from the internal fuse box area.

I have narrowed down the rear noise to the centre armrest. Just haven't done anything about it yet. The Bee in the fuse box is getting on my 'titties' and will have to be sorted soon!

Any ideas anyone?

On my first Mk2 vRS, I had the "fuse" box noise, it was the drop down storage compartment to the lower right of the steering wheel. I used some black B&Q draft excluder to make a "seal" for the drop down box and the buzz was no more.

It could be worth checking?

I had a sinilar thing on the wifes polo, that was the plastic card with the fuse locations vibrating and causing a "buzz", just took it out and shoved it in t't glovebox :)

OK. Thanks for the pointers.

I will check them out.
