New Head Gasket ?

Featured Replies

Checked the oil in the car today and found it was quite low, topped it up and found on the bottom of the oil cap was milky white, does this mean the head casket is going? there is no oil in the engine coolent and it's not full but not empty?

Any ideas are welcome as i'm panaking a bit now!

Thanks

No it doesn't.

Are you only doing short journeys in your car? If so then this is just condensation forming inside the rocker cover. If you took it on a long run and got it fully up to temperature then it'd go.

Its just the fact its winter time and your engine isn't getting hot enough. My car is doing the same too, and there has been alot of threads regarding this on the forum!

I did a quick search but couldn't find alot with many answers. That makes sense as my journys are short.

Thanks :D
