Rear Door Leak Fixing - Arghhhh!

Featured Replies

Why does something always go wrong?

The actual getting the door cards off and smearing as much silicon sealant about as I could was ok... except for the fact its freezing outside and my hands are now a tad sore after reopening a knuckle wound... but coming to put the offside door card back on and half the bl*ody clips self-destructed or have stayed in the door! To make matters worse that was the side I didn't need to do! Sigh...

So I've come inside in a huff to get warm and have a go at some equally frustrating - bleeding my mtb brakes!

Yeah we always have to replace them at work, not to worry there not expensive!

Chin up!

Need to get my MTB sorted too!

I managed to bleed a pair of Hopes and a pair of Shimano disc brakes, you know?! Yeah, I've got a bit of collection... Was quite chuffed with myself anyway...

Update on the door cards - with a fresh head I managed to prise out the offending clips and redistribute them around the card to secure it well enough. Hopefully my sealing job will stand up to the constant rain at the moment!

I was just reading another thread where you mentioned them being 21p. At least I assume it was you! It was a long thread - I aren't going through it again! :)

Still, 21p is a bargain. Although I'll see how I get on. I'd rather not take the cards off again if I can help it. Cheers though.

I am going to post an amusing pic showing how much water my carpet had in it though when I can get Paint to be stable enough to resize and save my pic! Vista is pants!

Yeah - I've seen the photobucket thing before - its another online account, logon and password combo though isn't it.

I've switched computers now! back on good old XP - mind you, remember when people used to hate that too?

Here's the pic... windows were steaming up... couldn't see any water... until I pushed on the carpet!
