Ive recently noticed this ticking noise coming from behind my dash. ive turned heater and stereo off and it still does it, its the same type of noise as when you turn yor indicator on.

it does it with engine on and off, also when car is cold or warm.

im not sure it might well be lol, ill have to look at it in more depth tomorrow.

I would say a faulty flap motor to, very common.

yes expensive to sort at a dealer, as its a dash out jobbie, but I have read of lots of people sorting it with just a glovebox removal and loosing a few fingers in the process. A very small area to work in.

You could try reseting the flaps with a vagcom.

...how does one do the reset-flaps thing with Vag-Com? I too get a tick tick tick tick etc from time to time, and I have had a faulty position sensor logged once in a while on vag com..

Thanks

Rob
