Directional Tyre replacement

Featured Replies

Don't know if this is the right place, but its a quick one....

I have a puncture but cannot afford to replace the tyre just yet. I have directional tyres on all 4 corners, and the original tyres in the shed which obviously aren't directional.

Is it OK to put the non-directional tyre on the same axel as the directional and it not effect anything?

Ta.

Yes.......Short and sweet !!

Thanks for Thanking Me................" Thanks "

Although if you want the car to be a bit more predictable in the handling you might want to put two of the old tyres on the axle rather than just one of each type.

Is the puncture definitely unrepairable? I'd not mix directional and non-directional tyres on an axle personally and would switch both wheels on the axle with your old ones.
