Rob,

I dont think the N249 has to be mapped out - it can be worked around. google the web for it ;)

Dont bother with an 8 injector plenum - I use and sell Siemens. Our GT30 engined cossie only has 4 injectors ;)

I know Johnny, i'm well upset LOL For that I wont tell him how I've now got "chatter" from my car without the EML coming on ;)

You mean this noise?

Agree with Mike, no need for 8 inj plenum.

4 greys or bigger should keep you going. ;)

Yes, Mike has had fluttering with his vRS as he said.

Tempted to try it myself. ;)

you can makes 1.8ts chatter... mine did.. it is just a case of running the right boost, right wastegate setting and right DV spring. the harder the spring in the DV the more pressure it takes to "blow off" hence the more chatter you get. but a std car will struggle to generate enough boost.

Yes, but the Engine management is expecting air to be re-circulated, and can generate a fault if its not detected.

right then boys for your turbo to flutter you need:

to blank off the little pipe that currently goes to the top of your dump valve. blanking it off stops the air leak.

you then need to runa new piece of pipe from the inlet manifold to the top of your dump valve. i.e where your boost gauge comes form. so the fuel pressure regulator is a good easily accesible place to achieve this.

obviously a CAI will amplify the sound. happy playing boys.

Would it really make you feel any better if I said that I bought both for 30 quid?

i dont see your turbo lasting long mind lol - ive put mine back to dv..

Maybe worthwhile trying if you're planning a turbo change anyway ! ;)

And no, dont feel any better about you getting the 4's for £30 :(

I'll give you £25 for one, seeing as they're second hand now. :D

I'll chip in £25.50 and a box of wine gums

I'll throw in a King Size Lion Bar ! ;)

i still think wine gums are better ;)

i still think wine gums are better ;)

You would ! :P

Anyway, T4's breath better in the cold Scottish air !

they also dont like chatter ;)

I'll stick with a T35 then. :D

T35's dont mine chatter.

oh btw, you'll get an N249 error if you blank the DV off lol

that noise on them tube videos sounds really really cool , but i was under the impression that compressor stall/wastegate chatter is BAAAD?

its not ideal, and better on a turbo with a 360 degree thrust bearing.

Been reading the post's, i have try'ed 2 different valve's, one off my mates subaru and another off a a4 1.8T. both valve's made my ecu go into limp mode and make my car run like a 1.3 escort. After looking on ebay i found a shop selling one as "Blow Off dump valve 4x4 Skoda Octavia 1.8T RS 1.8" so i bought it and tryed it, i now dont have the pulsing acceleration but i have the chattering noise after a short whistle mixed with a tssss, sounds awsome and runs great but i think its due to the strengh of the spring inside the D/V. the kit i got has a replacement spring that is alot stronger than the one thats already in the D/V, when thats in i just get the tss noise. :S

If its a blow off valve and you're getting chatter, its very likely you may actually be venting boost off to atmosphere.

Have you checked how much boost you're running?

Also, what have you done to your Octy to have 294bhp?
