Wastegate/Dump valve flutter on vRS

Featured Replies

just realised, found out what the flutteris, the new valve is'nt working properly, i thought it was just the way it was supposed to sound, i found it it wasn't working when all of a sudden i heard a loud woosh and a instant loss of power, the valve has not been working at all and it had literally blown off. as for the fluttering noise i found it to be coming out of the air filter, so must be the fins on the turbo cutting the air and back feeding up the intake. as for the 294bhp it was a drunken typo, i've only had a remap, de-cat, and a few other little tweeks, somthing about a actuator or sommat like that, well thats what the bloke in the garage said he did.

aha.. all is revealed :)

you need a recirc valve. any vent to atmos valves will create an error.

I fitted the weaker of the 2 springs supplyed with the valve and adjusted the little screw thingy on top to set the spring to its weakest. still the same with a little tiny bit more of a hiss. So took it of and put the standard one back in for now :(
