Featured Replies

hey guys i was driving my car around tongiht and it fet like the weels at the front wasnt attached an was quite shakey, i cud actually shake the weel and from what my friend said who was following behind me said that my weel was kind of bending in.

some people think it may be my driveshaft or a loose hub.

what do you guys think ? i can't afford to keep fixing this car(not on the wage im on )so if worse comes to worse may have to think about selling or getting rid of pooky:(

no not yet aint touched it yet, i think the problem been happenin all week just last nite got bit serous when the car started shakin because of it.

thanks i do like them alloys but i cant see myself keeping the car much longer :(

first, grab hold of the wheel and pull it side to side as it would move when steering, any play?

then grab hold of the top of the wheel and push/pull, any play there?

then, wipp the wheel off and have a jolly good look round. look at the shock, the wishbone, the drive shaft and the track rod. any thing look/feel odd?

shaking at high speeds or average like 30/40 mph?

id go get the whell off an see what goi on behind it. cud be somethin just lil n simple.u hit anything bumpy etc recently?

belive dude belive!

You say you haven't had a look yet, could be something as simple as loose wheel nuts

Have you hit anything like a high kerb etc?

I'd def check everything like wheel nuts first as suggested.

I may check mine as my steering wheel vibrates at speeds 75mph plus.

lol, if you hit it right you mangle the wishbone and the driveshaft. trust me.

A noise on turning is prob a joint problem of some kind, as regards to the 75mph issue I do know that this is down to the wheel & tyre needing a re-balance! Thats only about £10 per wheel.....:)

The wobble sounds like one of loose wheel nuts, worn ball joints and worn track rod ends, or possibly worn wheel bearings.

Surely someone's written something on diagnosis and repair before? Even if it's not for a Felly, most cars are pretty much the same in this respect.
