TFSI VRS Mods

A good induction kit will reap far more benefit than a replacement filter in the OEM airbox.

As already said the EVOM unit is the biz for a TFSI but it is quite pricey. A K&N 57i kit is nearly as good and quite as bit cheaper.

It you are thinking of a remap and an induction kit; do the induction kit first. The remap can then be tuned to the better breathing.

I think the Group Buy might be in Greece.

They are only about £30 or less from awesome I think.

You're right VRStu.It's for the Relocate club and it is indeed easy to fit.

Whats the benefit of the upgraded dv?

When my "friends" Leon FR was remapped the standard dv sounded louder but im not sure its as loud now a few k later, could it be on the way out? Performance doesnt seem effected though (or I could have just got used to it).

No performance benefit but more peace of mind as the OEM DV's are prone to 'splitting' on mapped cars.

Depending on your budget I'd personally go straight for a remap closely followed by a Forge DV and Neuspeed Torque Arm Insert.

From there on I'd deffinately recomend the FSD & Eibach suspension setup, without doubt the best value mod asside from the initial remap.

Steve, I notice the blurb for the torque arm insert says "...you may notice a slight increase in ride harshess and engine vibration after installation". Was that your experience?

Didn't notice any change tbh

Is that no change at all? Or just no deterioration in ride? In other words, was it worth it?

No noticable change in ride but I'd say it's worth the few quid it costs to buy and fit as it does help to 'stiffen' engine rotation which is really noticable, especially on mapped cars.
