Had this response from a respectable lady earlier today, she said it in such a surprised tone but was very complementary and was genuinely shocked as to what Skoda are producing these days.

I know how you feel. A couple of days ago someone complimented me on my new car by saying …………. ‘Ooooh I like your new Astra’

Similar thing me happend a few weeks back - chap and his wife (after parking up in a brand new Peugeot) were walking by:

Chap (stops to look at the car) 'What a great looking car, and lovely colour'

Then sees the badge - 'Thats a Skoda !' 'Cant belive thats a Skoda - what they like these days?' Then tell him they are great cars and one of the best cars I've had. Then I showed him the rear seats - again he was suprised at the space and made the comment that the Peugeot wasn't as spacious ! Then I went on if he really wanted more room at the rear he should nip down to the nearest dealer and have a look at the Roomster - who knows they may had a sale!

I dropped a workmate off at his relatives & when he got inside they said to him "look at you getting dropped off in a posh BMW". They were quite shocked when he said it was a Skoda Octavia:D
