hi there everyone getting a strange rattling sound from my furby when excellerating harshy i.e gradual exceelration does nothing but when i boot it at 2k above there is a rattle which disappears as you go up the rev band? what could this be guys anyone else does this really annoying to be honest cheers :)

Is it accompanied by any vibration? Could be the DMF on its way out if so....

hi mate i have the same problem on my furby skoda say could be turbine in the turbo but would also like to kno wat u guys think . alsoo wats a DMF >>>>>>>:confused:

hi there mate no vibration at all and it does not do it all time does it on particular frozen mornings or cold days anjd it is only when i harshly excellerate when driving steady no noise at all it is like an on cam noise when the power comes in ...oh hum!!! lol

i have same noise but a vibration with it aswell please help lol

My 1.9TDI PD 28,000 miles rattles like an old tin can when it's really cold. Apparently it's the norm for these engines. From what I've heard some are worse than others. Once warmed up it's fine.

hi there mate its not a case of rattling on idle but when excelerating but i have noticed when it has been running for some time the noise is not as bad lol

could it be a low oil sign? i there a warning on the dash for low oil? jjst thinking not topped it up or checked since having the car and since it was serviced last year thoughts please cheers

Mine is similar to yours but i think its just the diesel igniting in the bores they do make quite a noise,and yes its certainly very similar to a cam noise but i know mine isn,t.

cheers mate is it the cold weather recently which could have an affect?
