Warning lights

Hiya

I'm new to the site so sorry if my question has been all ready poste.

Back in January i had to have a new alternator and battery fitted to my little felicia 1.3. This morning i noticed that when i first started up the car the light came on again but went of when driving.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

Thanks

Driving belt needs some extra tightening after a couple of weeks? Is there a squeling sound when first started? A telling sign, but it doesn't have to be there.

Otherwise it could be a good idea to check the voltage. Was it a garage that did the job? In that case they should do a check and, if there's something faulty with the new alternator, fix it.

Thanks for that, it is making a funny noice when it is first started.

Yeah a garage did the job, Going to take it in this afternoon.

A funny noise, that stregthens my suspicions... the garage should fix it in 60 seconds and no extra charge. So let's hope it is that simple.

Quick fix - the Felicia experience :D

Agreed; it should just be a slack drivebelt.

If the replacment alternator is u/s, the supplier should replace it at no charge to you. (presumes EU law)
