Cheers Dave, Still adjusting to them. The tint on side windows accentuates the blue tint on the mirrors and the blindspots are alien to me my originals were flat glass, The reduction in glare is out of this world though. All in all i'm a happy bunny

Hi, could you possible give me a link to which mirrors on VAG parts they are? Also did these fit easily? cause I got some Golf mirrors before off ebay only to find they had the heated bit in a different place and a different back.

Many Thanks

They're Golf MKIV mirrors, A small modification is required.

Thats good news as I never got round to putting the mirrors back on ebay, just have to find where I put them now, lol.

What mods did you have to do to get them to fit and work?

Thanks

David

First off you'll need to extend the wiring.

I used 4 x lengths of suitable wire, about 80mm long,

4 x 2.8mm female spade connectors,

4 x 2.8mm male spade connectors,

Some heat-shrink tubing.

Now for the mirror.

On the outboard side there's a Tapered crescent plastic guide, If you look at the inside face there's a horizontal line left by the moulding process, Cut the guide there about 20mm from the top.

Connect up the wiring and route it round the mirror housing so it doesn't foul anything.

Clip mirror onto mounting boss, And there you have it, Blue tinted mirrors.

A word of warning though,

Buying mirrors off Ebay, There's no guarantee the heating element will work, My O/S doesn't.

N/S was a new unit so all is well
