How to remove this??

Featured Replies

How do you remove the plastic trim thing that covers the pollen filter etc?

I tried pulling and poking and had no joy what so ever

cheers

John

it can be hard to get off. It clips into a slot along the bottom of the windscreen. Pull it upwards perpendicular to the screen and it will come out!

You can just see the slot on this photo. Hope it helps!

I tried pulling it earlier and snapped a piece of the plastic. I'll give it another go tomorrow.

Thanks again

Get you r fingers under the rubber seal at one end of the screen and pull away from the screen.

If you get what I mean

I just wedged a piece of something under it and slipped my hand under to replace the pollen filter, it can be done, just a bit tricky.

:iagree:

Thats y i kept away from it with a screw driver, i snapped the bit at the end near the plastic bit where all the wires go through.

Windscreen is insurance?!

Hope they don`t read Briskoda :P

Best of doing this on a warm day, or use a hair drier... makes the plastic a bit more forgiving - especially if this is the first time you have tried to remove the scuttle cover. Once you know what your doing it is much easier!

Did the same - couldn't figure it out and lost patience, ended up with a screw driver :( and cracked screen.

Yes widscreen was replaced by insurance co cost £50 xs and some embarrasment.

Do the stealers bother changing the pollen filter when supposed to during service or is it too much hassle for them?
