Possible to remove CEL light resulting from EGR bypass?

Featured Replies

Can this be permanently coded out via VAG-COM? Now have an Allard 'race pipe' fitted which has replaced the standard EGR, hence the light.

Thanks,

Steve

No, it cannot.

OK, thanks anyway Uwe. And for the rather swift response

I guess it's a question for the tuner then, when I'm due a map tweak.

Steve

Mine is coded out - you just need a tuner who knows how to do it. (In my case Richard Washbrook- [email protected])

Thanks Bas - I'd read that Richard had managed to that for you. I understand Dave got it done at Awesome on the Shifty-mobile too :)

Just got to see if Jabba can do it now, as I'm due a return visit when I have a healthy turbo....

Cheers,

Steve

John @ Dna can do this too ;)

would mine benefit from having one of these race pipes?

only the last time we spoke john, you wern't the biggest fan of these.

I'm certainly impressed in the smoothness of response now, although I did put it on at the same time as an FMIC.

John also reported more boost as a result. Worth considering I think Gary :)
