Hi everyone,

I'm new here and the reason for signing up is to see what I can learn about Skoda ownership. I currently drive a V8 beemer which has been a great car but that time has come to buy something more sensible.

I am considering a s/h diesel Octavia estate, I have been and had a chat with the local dealer but have not yet test driven anything. Although I like the look of the estate the hatchback or the Superb are not ruled out.

From what I can gather the 2.0 ltr engine is a better bet than the 1.9ltr , what do you reckon ?.

Any advice on what to consider will be much appreciated.

Get a vRS and put those memories of the Beemer far behind you

The 1.9ltr is the old engine and is/should be being replaced by the newer 2ltr.

TL:DR - hi! superb 280: wet skiddy without quality back tyres? Hello everybody, New to the forum and owning a skoda. I've got a 2019 superb sportline 280 hatch. Are they known to get a bit unsettled at the back end in the wet? With the job I do I've driven both manual and dsg Haldex skodas (octavias and kodiaq), quite hard, and never experienced this. Granted the work cars are all diesel with Michelin crossclimates. I've had the car 2-3 months now and there's a bit of stuff in the boot. K

Recirculating Button not working

Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

In my Skoda Superb I recently had the warning light come on on the dash to warn me that I had some non-functioning light bulbs. All of the faulty bulbs have been replaced including both headlight bulbs. The warning light is still illuminated telling me that my left hand main beam is still faulty. Both headlights function as normal in both low and high beam. How can I get the warning light to extinguish? (all bulbs seem to be functioning correctly)

Hey everyone. My car is developing what I'm 99% sure is topmount bearing noise when slow manoeuvring, not so much a creaking but more of a bearing moving kind of noise (people who have had it I'm sure will know what I mean). . I've has it on other cars too. . My car only has 27k on and is a 68 plate facelift vrs. What are my chances of getting it sorted under warranty? . . I've only owned the car just over 4 months and it's already had the water pump replaced
