Helloooo....

Had my mk1 vrs for about 5 weeks now and thought i'd joiin up, cars standard apart from k&n induction kit and a dump valve, removed the induction kit few days ago and the dump valve is coming off tommorow, don't get me wrong i love the noise they make but wan't to get the car tip top first :)

Booked in for a cambelt and pulley change next week then i'll give it a good going over before i start making any mods.

BTW are there any problem area's i should be looking at? wheels bearings, anti roll bar bushes etc etc........

hi & welcome to briskoda...

get reading & posting... ;)

Welcome :)

No real issues apart from the cam belt that you seem to have covered :)

Welcome,

Why are you removing the dump v/v?, if it is the correct recirc type it should not really make any more noise than the standard d/v, and will be more reliable than the stock part anyway more so if you ever think of a remap.

Hi,

Not too sure if it's the correct one tbh and i very much doubt i'll get it remapped, like to keep the car pretty standard, i find having the dump valve and induction kit makes me drive faster purely for the noise :)

welcome to briskoda.
