Strange noise whilst engaging reverse

Featured Replies

As the title says there is a strange noise coming from the passenger side glove box (sound of air circulating) whilst I pop it into reverse? I know that the rear wipers engage but what the hell is it with the blowers??

My td100 and my Vrs do the same.

Any explanation will be welcomed.

Thanks.

The blower fan is put into recirculation mode when you engage reverse, so that you don't reverse into fumes and draw them in.

Air recirculation activates automatically when you engage reverse, so you don't get diesel fumes in the cabin.

HTH,

Steve

EDIT: beaten to it - but at least it's confirmed now ;)
