ko4 turbo

hi every one i want to fit a ko4 to my vrs but i have just looked at one and the exhaust out let is in totally the wrong place is there more than one model of these as i have been told by the garage that has done a few of these conversions is that i only need to get a ko4 turbo uprated n75 and 380cc injectors air flow meter item number 06a 906 461 green coolant sensor and uprated inter cooler and clutch :confused:

Do a search and all will be revealed

Does anybody have a clue how much a ko4 would cost?

If its a KO4 turbo off say tt then you will need the following at least.

Injectors,fuel pump,fpr,manifold,downpipe,airbox,maf,turbo,t.i.p. and probably a few more bits.

Their is a KO3s with K04 internals that will cost around £1400 fitted that will hot around the same figures.

And of course turbo back exhaust,fmic,uprated brakes etc....that should be done 1st

Does this not depend on which injectors your running also which map?

Sorry Bengie... The K04-020 or 023 is NOT a K03S, the compressor and Turbine wheels are both different ( bigger) as are the shaft and bearings

Ok so you need injectors, K04 turbo, modified hoses for said turbo and a map to get you going?

If this is the case im going back to the scrappie to get this gear from the 1.8t 225 quatro TT they have ;p

Don't forget these bits as well though :)

You would need someone to customise the down pipe as the TT one will not fit.

that'll be the internals then? I think he's saying K03s=K03 adjusted to work with the K04 internal gubbins, where the K04 has larger housings etc :confused:

I seem to recall his big injectors got replaced with S3 injectors, but he'd know better :o

yep, i had a set of 440cc injectors that were too big according to the mapper who replaced them with a set of S3 injectors but i still have the 440cc's kicking about just incase :D
