VRS SE Milage question.

Featured Replies

Hello.

I've been looking at at a race blue vrs se.

only issue i might have is it has 10.5k miles for aug07. Should I be worrried about that.

Private - asking 11800. Thought that was maybe slightly high but not stupidly so.

Advice appreciated. :-D

have you looked at pistonheads as I swear there was a similar on on there about 48 hours ago. As for mileage it wont even be run in at 10k and its probably been used as a fleet/company car - nothing to worry about

It would have had it's first service by now then. With Modern cars milage is not a problem, plus if it's a fairly high milage you can safely bet that it has been used for more than just driving to the shops and back as short trips do not let the engine warm up enough.

I'd be interested to find out why they're selling it so soon (as it's a private sale). Did the 10k service turn up something interesting? Has it been in an accident? Has it been a problem car and they just want rid? Was the stutter a problem? Are they downsizing?

No idea on the price, but 10k miles in 6 months is probably about average for most diesel drivers so I wouldn't let that put you off :D

Mine is a June 07 vRS SE. I am just coming up to 20K miles. (service indicator said 500 this morning)

I don't see why that mileage is a problem.

See is you can knock the price down to £11k.

That's not that many miles TBH, 10,500 miles in 7 months...I do circa 20,000 miles per year.

At the end of the day it's a Diesel so it will just be run in and even one with 50, 60k is still a bargain really.

It should have had it's first service, and like roo said, it's not going to have been a shopping car.

My Fabia Vrs has 60k and just had the cambelt done so it's good til 120,000 miles on a 54 plate.
