From TDI to VRS

Featured Replies

:):)

Have just sold my X plate Fabia 1.9 Tdi (85500 miles) and replaced with a very nice 56 plate Silver VRS with low mileage (sourced thro Skoda Approved Cars website). Whilst the 1.9 Tdi was a great car the VRS is fantastic. Its everything and more than I thought it would be. Have only done one long distance drive to date but very impressed with performance and the cruising ability in 6th gear.As I am rapidly approaching OAP'dom think that the standard car/power will suit me.

With all the years ownership of the 1.9 Tdi there was hardly a scratch/mark on the car when sold (looked like new) but guess what - on the first trip with the VRS I managed to back the rear end into a raised pavement and stubbed the exhaust, which has given it a slightly squiffed look on one side (and me a squiffed look all over my face). Question is are the chrome exhaust end fitting on the VRS replaceable. Has anyone tried to replace this with any success. From first inspection I am hopeful that these are a press fit onto the pipes.

Pop to Powells Performance in Pool and get them to weld you a new chrome tailpipe on.
