Bye Bye Octy....

Featured Replies

well, the time has almost come.... my 3½ years of Skoda ownership are about to end!

Took the decision to go for a company car rather than having a car allowance, so my Octy will not be mine after this weekend :(

Ozzy isn't going far tho - my OH is going to take him on! So, I'll still be hanging around for a while (at least until my Freedom membership ends lol) - will have to decide whether or not to carry on doing the calendar as well....

Guess Dunk will have to sign up on here instead of me!

All things change - such is life

Best of luck in whatever you do, Pusscat :)

I take it that Octavias aren't on your list of choices , or do you just fancy a change anyway?

I was gonna say, you may get an octy as a company car anyway......

Stay "tuned" yourself anyway.

No reason to leave the Brisky fold Caz, you're a very well thought of member (and a great laugh at meets).

thanks for the nice comments, folks :)

I unfortunately don't get a choice of car this time round, as the company has a 10 month old Honda Civic 'going spare' so I'm getting that!

In a couple of years' time, when it comes up for replacement, I get to choose what I have - although there are rules as to what the car 'must have' and a maximum budget of about 16k..... should be able to get another diesel Octy then :)

I had the same sort of situation when I started my current job.

It was a choice of the two spare company cars they had (T-reg BMW 323i SE or V-Reg alfa 159 selespeed) and then get it replaced in due course or take the cash alternative.

Fortunately the cash was a decent amount and bearing in mind it was in 2003 and the offered cars were both in a really bad state it didn't take much to decide.

A nearly new civic is a very decent alternative by comparison.

Petrol or diesel?

Happy driving and thanks for the Calenders over the years

Like I said, the Octy isn't going far - it'll still be sat on my drive, just about 15 feet further back lol..... and I think for now my name is gonna stay on the V5 - don't want it showing more owners than it has to!

.

Petrol or diesel?

The Civic is a 1.8 ES petrol. Mine from tomorrow, but sat on my drive now!

You can still go to all of them ;)
