how to access front left parking sensor?

Featured Replies

i drove into a metal pipe while parking :-)

my front-left parking sensor in the bumper dislocated slightly (apart from the paint scratch)

i am wondering if there is a way I can access it from behind the bumper and fix it with some strong glue. the dislocation of the sensor is very minor, so i can live with it, but if there is some easy way to glue it i would like to give it a try.

its octy-2 L&K, btw.

thanks.

These are normally held in place with self adhesive pads.

If you are thinking of having the bumper repaired I wouldn't put 'strong' glue on it as they won't be able to transfer it to the number bumper.

If you can get your hand ehind it you might be able to push it back out.

Perhaps try removing the undertray for access if you can't reach it with the bonnet up.

I take it the sensors were faulty or switched off then!?

So many jokes, so little time..........

Worked. Phew. Thank you.

In fact, I was able to access all the four front sensors aftering lifting the bonnet.

Hope it stays there for good, and I dont have to keep fiddling with it often.
