Help please! Just replaced front window regulator. Motor is fine , but when I connect everything up the window will only go up 3/4 or 4/5th of way. AARGH! Whats wrong? Do I have to fiddle with the cables?

You shouldn't have to fiddle with the cables. The window could be over to one side and locking up in the channel. Slacken the two nuts holding the glass an try repositioning it.

Thanks again Fordfan. But when I went back to it the motor seemed to reset itself and now working fine. Got too dark to refit the panel. Awkward job, the panel I mean, and dont fancy replacing too many regulators.

New regulator from Micksgarage.ie €85.00 delivered 24 hours. Skoda part around €115. Not bad eh?
