Will Fabia RS seats fit in an Octy?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the front seats in a Fabia vRS will fit straight into an Octy vRS?

I had a look at the Fabia and the seats look much better than the Octy ones. Also the side bolsters look bigger and more supportive! I quite fancy a set!

If you can source a set, you'll find that MKIV Golf GTI or GT TDI seats are more comfortable and supportive than Fabia vRS ones. You might also find that since the Octavia is built on a Golf floorpan that they bolt straight in. OTOH.......

Purely going on the fact that the Octy is Golf MkIV based and the Fabia is Polo based, I'd guess the seat runners are different and the seats won't fit.

Will say that the Golf seat will fit and Octy. Get some GTI seat from a crashed Golf or off Ebay.....having sat in Jabba's 4x4 with the Golf GTI seats, I 'd say they are better than the Octy RS' seats. Bolsters are alot thicker and will hol dyou in place better.

Stick some velcro on yer bum...much cheaper :D

I found the bolsters in the Fabia vRS too close together...didn't really sit in the seat so much as on it, if you see what I mean.

Rob.

Try and find some R32 seats - scrummy

Agree with Rob, but only at the top, they tried to force my shoulders forwards if I pushed my back into them, not comfy at all.

Golf GTI anniversary had recaro's with side airbags, are worth a look.

Fabia's seats are fine for me, but I would've liked to have seen lumbar adjustment on them...and passenger height adjustment. Bird's Seat Arosa has that!

Best seats i ever had were the Recaro's in my MK1 Astra GTE :)

The Octy seats aren't that bad...specially with that lovely lumbar adjustment..mmmmm :D

Thats cos your a fat git!!

I'm a fat git and was shocked the seats fitted me as the ones in my mates Pug numb my ass.

Aren't the seat runners on the Octavia on the side of the car unlike the Fabia where they are on the floor?

Correct for the Octavia. Haven't got a Fabia I can check.

They are on the floor of the Fabia.

Yeah I am a fat git as well, and they fit me perfect. I cant imagine how fat Rob must be ;)

I'm not fat...if I was fat then I would be able to use my weight to push the bolsters to accommodate. However, like Ian, I have broad shoulders which don't fit between the bolsters properly!

Rob.

Fabia front seats will fit perfectly in my Octavia.

It really has got a very big boot :D
