Possibly my 1st vrs. BUT advice wanted. Please

Hi everyone

Thanks Briskoda for everything. Been reading the thread for a month now. Great website  thanks for the tons of info

I test drived a Furby VRS approx 4 wks ago and fell in love with it. Drove a Seat Ibiza. Ride is not that good. So it would most probably be a VRS and Ibiza suffers higher depreciation.

I have got a couple of questions to consider further

1) Would it be difficult to sell VRS when it is time to move on? Things change as usual...

2) Cost of servicing for VRS vs. other make or Ibiza?

3) Depreciation :(

4) Dealer's price is far more expensive than a private. Yes I know it is a norm, but..... seriously more than expected.

My nearest dealer

Sept 06, 21k miles 9995

or Dec 06, 11k miles 10,500

:weeping:

Anythoughts or advice??? :o

thanks

oh yes 1 more

it does not have DPF does it

No dpf I dont think

buy private, dealers are usually massively overpricing them

used values are very good at the moment and holding well

but expect that to change when the new VRS comes out

servicing isnt cheap if you go through a dealer

exactly what he said....

only dpf I know of is on the PD170 in the octy vRS and one in the superb......

If I was in the market, I'd buy one from a member on here... cheaper than the dealers, and you know its been looked after...

happy hunting!

wow thanks for the prompt reply

hmmm would it be hard to sell later?

looking at a few furby and octy in sale thread. Looks yum yum

sigh.... bye bye eunos rs ...........:(

nvm :D life goes on.......

Na, I dont think it would be hard to sell.

VAG diesels are always quite desirable.

Ibiza Fr is exactly the same car as the Fabia vRS.

But... the Fabia is cheaper to buy and holds its value better and 2nd its better looking and if you get it tuned like most of us are then you will have a seriously quick motor.

or get it de-tuned like mine, it cuts grass well. I'm preparing the car for the 2008 briskoda Oscars. :D

Welcome and happy shopping. As stated above the Fabia holds its resale value exceptionally well, even for private sales, but you could be lucky. You are likely to get good leads here.

thanks for the heads up........

the only thing i know is, i would never want to be a Seat driver/customer. The agent was extremely rude. ABSOLUTELY unbelievable

Hope skoda is good..........;)

Skoda Uk, or "SUK" has quite a bad reputation in my area for customer service. But maybe that's just around here.

I think there's been threads around on here before, regarding water leaks (!!), where SUK customer service has been less than adequate.

buy private, ul save yourself a pretty penny. yes u don't get a warranty unless its an almost brand new private sale but if you buy 1 from some1 on here it will have been looked after, and chances are ul get some nice healthy mods thrown in:)

get 1 you won't be dissapointed!!!
