Can anyone tell me the total capcity of the fuel tank on my Fabia 1.2? Including the pipe between the fuel tank and the fuel filler cap. How big is this pipe - length & diameter?

The official figure is 45 litres but I don't know whether thats just the tank on it's own. I am having an issue with a local petrol station as their pumps have allowed me to put 53 litres into my tank when there was at least 4 litres of fuel left in it!

All specifics would be greatly appreciated.

It's 45 but you can squeeze at least 8 litres more if your holding the vent down (Do a search on Ventectomy)

Do you ge tthe same issue with other service stations?

I contacted trading standards after a dispute with a fuel station when their fuel pump put 45L in a half full Octy MK I.

Trading standards or somebody went along and found the pumps to be inaccurate. Not really sure what happened after that but I got some vouchers for "free" fuel.
