Rather than lurking, I said I'd join in. I have a 2002 1.4 Octavia. I love it.

From looking at the expertise on the site a lot of you would do a better job servicing my

car then the muppets that do it at present.

I have had a few problems with the car over the years but who hasnt. Another annoying

problem surfaced this morning, seems the remote window on drivers side has given

up the ghost, sounds like sand in the motor, but wont go up nor down.

Can someone direct me to a thread that may have this on it already.Will I have to pull

the whole door apart?:(

Haynes manual out at the ready, and relevant chapter read several times, weekend

weather set to be very wet, no garage or cover. So all in all a fun time ahead.

Rugby's on the telly,Saturday and F.A. cup hmmm.
