High Definition wax & Lifeshine!!!

Featured Replies

Hi all, just a quick post to say i am WELL EXCITED!!!!! Picking up my new Octavia vRS tomorrow & have purposely kept the day free of clients (am a valeter) so i can spend the whole day (weather permitting) washing, waxing, polishing, protecting my new baby with everything that Autoglym (the only thing i use) has to offer including the new High Definition Wax & then two coats of Lifeshine protectant!!!! I haven't used the new wax yet as it's only just been released by Autoglym but got it for free from my Autoglym distributor to try it & see how good it is!

Will keep you all posted so if anyone is interested in getting some they can have an expert opinion on it first as to how good i think it is!

I would be interested to see what it's like so post some pics so we can all see.

Good luck with the car tomorrow - enjoy!

Will do, i'll take some before & after pics! If i don't post them on tomorrow it'll be either the weather isn't very good or i was late picking the car up & didn't have enough time but as soon as it's done i'll put the pics on! :)

Have you asked the dealer to not touch the car at all (from a valeting point I mean).

Don't you use lifeshine before the wax and then put the wax over the sealant.

Certainly what I've always done as a lot of waxes were picky about what they go on top of.

Very interested to see how that wax looks though :)

nice one, me too i would like to see a picture of the results as i use autoglym too.

Very interested in the looks and durability of this new wax. Keep us posted.

Surely you mean the wax on top of the lifeshine ?

Applying the wax first won't allow the sealant to bond to the surface.

You guys are absolutely spot on, my mistake!!! Of course the wax goes on last! Am so excited about picking the car up i'm getting my mucking words fuddled?

The exact plan of action is to wash it first, then chamois, then super resin or ultra deep shine depending on inspection, polish, then LifeShine, treat leather interior with leather clean, LifeShine interior, then polish exterior LifeShine, then High Def wax! :)

if it looks good then maybe we could a rrange to have the car done in the summer ;) where in bucks u based?

Am based in Aylesbury but i get all over the place to be honest! My website is CleanMyMotor.com if anyone is interested? Am not touting for business as am very busy already but there is FAQ's, pics, links etc that may be of interest! If anyone wants/needs any AutoGlym products i can get them cost price from my distributor & would have no problem supplying anyone on here with whatever they require! Would only ask for cost price plus P&P! I don't sell on ebay or anything, just willing to help you people out as i know i will need advice on a lot of other issues once i get this car! :)

cheers darren, im only down the road!!

Sorry guys/gals, been SO busy with work that i've not actually had time yet to sort the new motor out (LifeShine/High Def Wax etc) so no pics yet!

Will hopefully have time over the weekend weather permitting so will keep you posted how it goes! 2008 LifeShine kits have been improved too so should be an even greater shine & protection etc! The new car is awsome though, am already hooked on it!
