Er.... No

I'd try another dealer mate - they don't deserve your business.

Either that, or ring and speak to the sales manager.

To be honest I try to deal with the sales/service managers at the dealers now anyway.

Tell her that Tony put you on to her ;-) NB I am in no way affiliated with them except for being a customer.

She ordered my black petrol vRS hatch with maxidot, rear parking, curtain airbags and the 18" jumbo box upgrade for £16300 all in. Got a pretty good trade in on my old Mondeo too.

Only snag was it took 3 months to be built and delivered- but that's Skoda's fault!

It is in effect pre registered and they send you the V5 after 6 months, but for the sake of £3000 I was very happy for a built to order car.

Loving the maxidot.

What a fine car. very pleased. Just wish they spent more than 10 Czech crowns on the glovebox closure mechanism :D

Oh and the point of my post was she's very responsive to email and phone! Probably why she tops the sales leader board.

18" jumbo box? Mine's only about 5"!

I think a lot of businesses are trying to jump on the internet bandwagon without having the necessary infrastructure/training to utilise it effectively. I'll always pick up the phone because I'll get a response there and then and also be able to discuss things (e-mail isn't ideal for a dialogue).

If they don't respond then vote with your feet - plenty of other places out there who are after your custom :D

I prefer face to face contact, although I shopped around brokers etc for prices finally went into a local dealer with a cash deposit put it on the table and told him what deal I wanted, its amazing how much hard cash make people sit up and listen especially as it was the owner of the dealership I was sat with. Although he didn't match my best offer he wasn't far off and as has been mentioned earlier I felt the after care was inportant e.g loan cars. This was proved by the point that he was willing to let me have one of the used cars he had on the forecourt the other day

A month or so ago just before I went into hospital, my best mate went into Alex Lawrie on my recommendation looking for possibly an Octy 2 1.9TDi L&K or Elegance with leather.

2 weeks after his first visit, he had not been called back after speaking to Mark, a salesman there, to arrange a test drive.

I phoned Alex Lawrie and spoke to another sales guy, he took Andy's details and got Mark to call him back after I said "thanks for making me look a **** after I bigged you up to him".

I come back into the loop, find he's had a test drive but they really wanted him to take a second hand model off the forecourt and he want's new. He asked for new prices and was told (and I have known this guy for 20 years through thick and thin and he is not one to stretch the truth) "If you want a new price, go to the skoda website, use the car configurator, then come back to us and we will sell it to you". Andy says he has made a 20 mile trip to be there, has hung round for an hour or two and you won't give me a price on a car. Mark apparantly says no! I can't.

Andy says he will take his business elsewhere and the parting shot across the bow from the sales guy is "fine, do that".

He had no PX, wanted finance and was sold on a Skoda after seeing my previous 3 cars.

Andy is now looking at SEAT's were he was given a 24hr test drive by a local dealer, no pressure, priced up a Leon TDI Sport and I am pretty certain he is about to buy it.

I'm pretty ****ed off as I have bought my last 2 from Alex Lawrie and found the service to be great, but how things can change in 6 months eh? As soon as I'm fully healed up I am going to go test drive a few other Marques with a view to binning the Octy, SUK suck and it looks like the dealers have chips so big on their shoulders they smell of salt and vineger.
