HAve to make a start somewhere. First time here first time with a problem on my SKoda OCtavia 1.9 Elegance bought in 2004. What a great car this has been.

Drivers Door. I can open it from the outside. The handle on the inside just flaps about (linkage?)

I am practical but like a lot of new fittings it is a question of doing it once and wandering why it was so difficult!!

I have remove all the screws (star screws not torx) around the edges of the trim. removed the tweeter speaker but thats it! cant find any hidden screw around the door pull window winder assembly but it does appear to be fixed at that point. Help please.

Oh yes and what should I be looking for once it I get it off

Hi Eric welcome, on a MKI (not sure if yours is a MKI or MKII) there are screw(s) behind the door handle/electric window switches, the handle IIRC just pops out.

I would of thought the cable has either broken (unlikely) or just popped out of the mechanism.

BTW you would get a better response to this if it is in the correct area.
