Has anyone upgraded their panel filter?

Featured Replies

Recently took my induction kit off my 1.9tdi as the turbo wasnt winding up untill 2500rpm :thumbdwn:. ordered a new airbox assembly from skoda earlier in the week and it arrived today, they seem to have modifed them now, had differnt internal design to my old air-box . Anyway, car is running alot better now and turbo is booting up around 1500rpm now. but has anyone put a pipercross or K&N in their TDi and found it to make any real improments??? I put a pipercross filter in my golf 1.6 and made the world of difference.

Take all the ice out and you will go faster

I know you can smooth the inside of the air box (Is this whats done on the new version?)

Not sure your going to get any real power gains other than noise form any kind of filter ;)
