It might fit, being an A5 chassis gearbox (Golf MK5/Octy 2) im not sure if the mountings swap over.

But you also need

Driveshafts

Starter motor

Clutch

Flywheel

Gear selector cables?

Not to mention the fact you will be running TDi gear ratios with a petrol engine.

It will physically fit, but will the engine pull a 30+ mph per 1000 rpm top gear?

I think there are one or two people running 6 speed boxes now. Steevie being one of them.

the question is though stu isn't if a 6 speed diesel box will fit as we know it will but this will be from a mk5 golf not a mk4 so are the mounts etc the same?
