Hi first time poster.....

i have a 1.9 TDI Fabia Elagence, and for about a week now the EPC light has been on. during the time its been on i have noticed a few differences with my car.

- my fuel is dissapering quicker (example - i drive 20miles and i have used 35miles of fuel)

- i have lost power (couple of times when goin up a hill in 2nd gear and foot to the floor the car struggles)

- when exelarating it sounds like i have a miny dump valve.

just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or knows what it could be?

i have booked my car into skoda but after reading some posts on this site i hope i get it fixed cos i ant made of money.

Symptoms sound like your Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve has gone faulty.

When mine went it drank diesel, was down on power and felt a bit like there was no turbo.

Its a new valve I'm afraid. May cost just a little less than £100. Sorry.

Or it could be the Mass Airflow Meter.
