Koni FSD's & H&R Springs on Octy vRS

Featured Replies

Just had Koni FSD's & H&R Springs fitted to my Octy vRS as my suspension was on its way out. Wow! What a difference! Early days yet as the springs haven't settled (only fitted yesterday) but the ride is transformed. Nice and level in the corners, but doesn't knock your teeth out over bumps.

Had them fitted by Ricci Concept in Hull. Anyone else on Briskoda use these guys? It's my first time dealing with them and I have to say they were very good.

Siounds good. Can I ask what the total cost was?

Cool! im getting fsd's fitted soon, but using them with standard springs. Just out of interest what mileage had the oem suspension done?

That is exactley what I have fitted to mine. I decided to fit them myself.

my HR springs have been on a few weeks now have settled nicely. What a difference in handling is all I can say.

Springs were £157, shocks were £345, fitting was £266 including new top mounts (£30) and the alignment. It is a lot of money but I wanted to make sure everything was as I wanted it (got a family, so can't be going for a rock-hard ride).

The car has done 44k now. The reason for me changing the suspension was that I had a front spring snap last year (a few people seem to have had this issue!). I took the car to a local garage who replaced the front springs. I waited and waited for them to settle but basically it looks like they fitted non-vRS springs. Should have taken it back, but I wasn't sure and never had time (spent a bit of time out of the country). Anyhow, the handling was not great, but recently the car felt awfull (shocks knackered, probably partly to do with running the wrong springs on the front), so I thought it was time to sort things properly. Options were to go for full standard or take the opportunity to upgrade sensibly. The setup I have is after lots of research on this site and on the web. Result = Well chuffed!

Sorry to bring this thread back up, how much do the h&r springs lower it by?

Im looking into getting some, not happy with the ride height on the standard springs. How do they work with the fsd's? cheers.

Anyone? Who's got H&R springs? I see you can get a couple of different lowering springs 20mm/ 35mm/ 45mm i was thinking of going for the 35mm any thoughts.

Mine lower my vRS by 20mm which was enough for me.

I believe these are the only H&R springs for the vRS though! Aren't the 35mm and 40mm types just for standard octy's?

Thanks for the reply mate, not sure the website i was looking at says 20mm- only rs part no- type 1U , but the others state-including rs for the lower ones?

Could you do me a favour? where did you get yours from and have you a part number?, i want to make sure i get the right ones cheers mate.

Hi!

Visit H&R Spezialfedern GmbH + Co. KG. Press the Union Jack in the upper right corner..

Use menu Products and choose Sport springs. On the right hand side of the page you can now choose the make of your car. Then just press search.

I belive the springs you are looking for are near the bottom of the side.
