Just Got a Fabia

Featured Replies

I have just driven back in my new car, its a 1 owner 53 plate Vrs in silver, 65000 miles fssh and cambelt just done, bit of a steal at £5700 i think.

Having come from a remapped Vrs octavia i was thinking i would be a bit dissapointed with the power of the fabia but have to say i am amazed, pulls like a train in every gear, well impressed

Have arranged to have angel tuning down next week to remap it for more fun than it already is.

Just wondering as i have some 18" rs6 reps sitting here doing nothing, is there any point trying to put them on or is there a major problem with 18's on the fabia, looks like there is loads of room in the arch, anyone tried 18's and succeeded????

Thumbs up to skoda :)

no probs fitting 18's,there are a few on here running them, the fabia is much more fun than the octy, welcome to the dark side:thumbup:

Just needs 215/35/18 tyres on, innit?

I see what you mean about the profile, i thought the front would foul if anything so put them on first and took it for a spin, no rubbing etc even on full lock, i was landed.

Put the rears on thinking i was all set and when i pulled it off the drive they were rubbing like a bitch on plastic inner arch

So the tyres are superb so too good to justify getting them changed for lower profile, will just get some 17's and have done with it.

Illegal to tow with the VRS

Hehe, as its one owner i was most worried that it had been towing a caravan, my mind was put at rest was only a little jetski, was parked on a little trailer next to the car when i went to see it.

Will get a towbar mounted bike carrier so will come in handy.

Nice car for the money! Enjoy it! Your comments RE you coming from the Octy vRS are interesting , I had a standard one of those in 2001 and was worried the Fabia vRS wouldnt be as good , but if your happy after coming from a remapped Octy then I think I might be able to enjoy one too! :)

Nice looking car mate, really nice

Illegal to tow with the VRS

 Is it? And if so, why please? :o

Yes it is illegal. Due to not being type approved.

thats why you need a disco isnt it mike

Nice car enjoy it:thumbup:

And as there is no type approval, it follows that it won't be possible to get insurance cover to tow either.

I actually thought you were joking about it being illegal to tow with a fabia, the previous owner was a naughty boy then :P

Doubt there will be any problems mounting a small bike rack on it, which is all im gonna use it for.

Really good price that - one owner is good too - most of the cheaper VRs seem to have 3 owners or more usually.

And people wont mistake you as a taxi driver.
