Anyway, I know that 1400cc is not much, so how is it possible that the car had 112hp from the factory? I've googled it and I found out that the highest hp of a normal 1400 was about 100. Is it possible that it was tuned at the factory to make the engine squeeze 12hp more? Thanx.

Where did you get the 112bhp figure from?

Well, as far as I remember there were 3 editions, the highest being the one with 112bhp. At the dealership they gave us the specs of all 3. There were also tv commercials about them. Also, a couple of friends have the exact same car. So, I'm pretty sure it is 112bhp. However, I don't live in the UK, so there may be differences with other countries.

There was a Skoda Fabia (1) Sport Edition which was promoted in Greece (maybe other countries too, but not mine...) - some limited edition

1400 cc 16 V

power 116 hp at 6100 rpm

max torque 142 Nm at 4500 rpm

top speed 200 km/h

acceleration 0-100 km/h: 10,8 sec

Actually, it's not the sport or the vrs edition. It's just a regular fabia. What I wanted to ask was if it is possible for a 1.4 fabia to output 112bhp just like that.

Remap, induction kit and performance cams could easily see those sort of figures (not that I've been looking into 1.4 tuning or anything ), but I have no idea whether these would be done at the factory....
