I've got a mystery fuse box under the bonnet in the engine bay at the back behind the batttery.

It contains 2 red fuses 10A i think.

and a green probably 20A fuse.

What is it for?

I've got a towbar, and an alarm/immobliser.

I think its the towbar electrics, which could be causing a short and draining my battery if i dont use the car for 2-3 days.

It will probably be for the aux charging feed for a caravan battery if it has the aux socket on the back.

If not has the car had a big amp in the back?

yeah 2, but thats not the problem, but I know it doesn't help.

I've got a power capacitor, which prevents some battery drain, so the sound system doesnt totally wreck it.

AND it still drains when turned off, I've checked the system for shorts.

Thing is its been doing it for years, ever since we bought the car new.

So I thought it could be the towbar electrics shorting out somewhere.

It has 2 plugs on the towbar. one on each side.

I'm thinking about removing the fuses, and then checking to see if the battery still dies.

But with a towbar the car might have different relays as it has to operate a few more bulbs. So i need to check to see if the cars normal lights work if not, I may need to "borrow" a normal one from a scrap yard.
