Hi all just had a problem with my front wipers they have stopped working, fuse is ok and if i assist by hand they do operate.

Can i overhaul the system or will i need to buy a new motor etc? and if so how much and from who?

Could well be a seizing linkage, that usually leads to a dead motor. Check to see if you have power at the motor.

The spindles get corroded when water leaks down them, and they seize up. You need to remove the wiper assembly, and clean up and re grease the spindles.

I wrote a post about this ages ago, can't find it now, but here's a good one by VRSPhil. Not too difficult a job. Good luck!
